Jim Rogers: Renminbi has been the second strongest currency

“Renminbi is only down a little bit against U.S. Dollor in the past few years.” Jim Rogers pointed out, “if renminbi becomes freely convertible, I will own more renminbi.”
While concerns about stock market in china, legendary investor Jim Rogers said that it’s not a bubble in china stock market and it’s just because the economy of China develops too much fast.
“We are having problems in many parts around the world,” Jim Rogers said to Hexun.com in the exclusive interview. “Japan is in recession. Many parts of America are in recession. When you customs have problems, you will feel it too. That’s not the thing that you can avoid.”
Rogers said that as one of the largest trading nation in the world, China inevitably was affected too.
But he still holds the positive attitude towards the china economy.
“Chinese people now travel the rest of the world, know the rest of the world and trade the rest of the world. So many Chinese will be investing in countries, companies, currencies, which they never invest before. That’s going to change a lot of investment around the world!” Rogers said.
While talking about assets management, Rogers said information gathering, like Hexun.com, will benefit most if China assets management becomes more mature.
“Thinking about what’s investors needed, they should get more information quickly when they make deal. ” Rogers said.
However, investors will gain much benefit when China becomes great financial center again.
